Rob Nickless - Partner
Rob qualified as a solicitor in 1982 after attending Southampton University and the Guildford College of Law. He joined Jacobs & Reeves in 1980 and has been with the firm ever since and is now the Senior Partner. Having dealt with a broad based practice for many years, he now specialises in family matters including child and financial issues. Rob is an accredited specialist in children matters and domestic violence and further deals with high value financial cases.

Nick Hyman - Partner
Nick qualified as a Solicitor in 1983 after obtaining his Law Degree at Nottingham University and then attending Chester College of Law. He joined the firm in 1985. He became a partner in 1988 and now deals exclusively with commercial, development and residential property work. Having long since been our de facto Managing Partner, Nick has now been nominated to the Solicitors Regulation Authority as our Compliance Officer for regulatory matters. Nick is a past chairman of Bournemouth North Round Table RT1066.

Helen Henson - Partner
Helen joined Jacobs & Reeves as a trainee 1996 having completed the Legal Practice Course following a return to her studies after the birth of her two daughters. She was initially based at our Wimborne office and qualified as a solicitor in 1998 becoming a partner in 2003 when she moved to our principal Poole office. Helen specialises in both residential and commercial property matters, including acting for developers. She also deals with the purchase and sale of businesses and companies.

Rod Dutton - Partner
Rod qualified as a solicitor in 1984 after graduating in law at Bristol University. After training in general legal practice in Cambridgeshire, Rod moved to a London practice where for 15 years he specialised in personal injury and employment litigation for Trade Unions and their members. His work since joining us in 2000 has covered most areas of civil litigation. Rod is head of our litigation department, a Fellow of the Association of Personal injury Lawyers and also a trained Civil Mediator. Rod has a special interest in difficult and high value accident claims, contested probate and professional negligence.

Andrew Goss - Partner
Andrew is a Partner and Head of the firms long established Private Client Department. Since qualifying in 1995 Andrew undertook a broad range of work at another local firm where he was Managing Partner before joining Jacobs & Reeves in May 2018.
Andrew heads a team providing a comprehensive range of services including probate and estate administration, will drafting, trust creation and administration, tax planning and powers of attorney. He also has a wealth of experience in handling disputes over trusts and estates.

Orla joined the firm after completion of LPC at BPP Bristol having gained a variety of legal experience in local firms.
Orla completed her training contract with us and was admitted as a Solicitor in April 2016.
Orla is based in our Wimborne office and deals with residential property matters and Wills, Probate, Powers of Attorney and Deputyship applications.
Ashleigh is a Solicitor who joined the firm after completing her Law Degree at the University of the West of England in Bristol. Ashleigh went on to complete her Legal Practice Course at Bournemouth University in 2014 and completed her training contract with us. Ashleigh was admitted as a Solicitor in July 2016.
Ashleigh has gained a variety of legal experience with Jacobs & Reeves and specialises in both residential and commercial property matters.

Anna is a Solicitor in the Family Law Department and deals with all types of family matters including domestic violence, children matters, divorce and financial disputes following relationship breakdown. Anna completed her training contract with us and was admitted as a Solicitor in July 2018. Prior to joining Jacobs & Reeves, Anna worked as a Family Law Paralegal in another local firm. Anna is a member of Resolution, a national organisation of family lawyers committed to resolving family disputes in a constructive and non-confrontational way.

Tom is a Litigation Executive who has been with the firm for 28 years and during that time has gained significant experience in dealing with all types of family matters including, Divorce, financial disputes following relationship breakdowns, disputes over children, including Public Law Care proceedings and Domestic violence cases.
Outside the office Tom is actively involved in non league football having played semi-professionally for many local clubs including, Poole Town, Wimborne, Dorchester Town and Basingstoke and is now the manager of Poole Town F.C.

Chris qualified as a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executive in 2007 after having completed his legal training in 2004. Chris has worked for a number of local solicitor firms over a decade in legal practise.
Chris specialises in residential conveyancing matters including acting for a number of developers.
Outside of work, Chris is a keen footballer and has recently celebrated the birth of his second child, Holly.

Asya is a highly qualified and experienced Family Solicitor with a significant track record practising in the field of Family Law having qualified as a Solicitor in London in 2010. She has acquired various legal qualifications and is a Specialist Member of Resolution, dealing with children and finance matters. She is adept at representing clients (parents, family members and grandparents) in Care proceedings brought by the Local Authority as well as private law Children Act 1989 proceedings. Asya is proficient in fulfilling advocacy duties and regularly appears before Judges and Magistrates at Court. Asya also deals with divorce, matrimonial finance, injunctions and protection from violence, as well as child abduction matters. Asya is a multi-skilled, multi-lingual dynamic and passionate advocate of Family Law and thoroughly enjoys her work. In her spare time, she loves spending time with her two young children and travelling.

Chris was a co-founder of the firm with Philip Jacobs in 1977.He was senior partner from 1988 until stepping down and becoming a Consultant in 2006. Having practised in many areas of law since qualifying in 1976 he now specialises in acting for Developers on acquisitions. Chris is Vice-Chairman of Poole Town FC. Chris has been a member of the FA Council for the last 4 years. Chris has recently been elected as a full member of the Council of the FA which is its governing body. He is the official representative of all Football Clubs within the South Western section of the FA.

Trudy is a latecomer to law on returning to work after raising two sons who have now in turn made Trudy a grandmother. Trudy completed her legal training in 2002 and became a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives in 2004.
Trudy specialises in residential conveyancing.

Marcus is a Trainee Solicitor who joined the firm in 2016 after completing the Graduate Diploma in Law and Legal Practice Course at Bournemouth University. Marcus will qualify as a solicitor in November 2018.
Marcus is currently working in our Probate and Litigation Department and has an interest in Landlord and Tenant disputes.
